International Roaming Management System (IRMS)

As a mobile service provider Grameenphone facilitates the features of international roaming (Inbound & Outbound) i.e. GP subscriber can use the same GP number while visiting abroad and also Foreigners can use their mobile while staying at Bangladesh. To enable this feature as per the standard practice of GSM association followed worldwide, agreements are made between GP and other foreign mobile operators. Various types of correspondences and test are made to materialize the agreement and features. Currently GP does not have any computerized system rather depends on manual email system.

 The objective of this project is to develop a workflow based International Roaming Management solution for GrameenPhone replacing the existing manual system.

 International Roaming Management System (IRMS) provide the complete visibility operators need to be able to track the activity of roamers as well as roaming partners and effectively manage the services they access while visiting the network. This application has currently 150 users around in Bangladesh. Grameenphone need this application to develop a workflow management system to control Roaming Partner and Subscriber information and activities.

 Roaming Partner Information: IRMS software preserves total information of Roaming Partner who is associated with GrameenPhone Ltd. IRMS user can manage Partner’s query, agreement, PRD, Testing, Test SIM exchange & high usage monitoring, commercial launch and monthly invoice generate for subscriber’s billing.

 Roaming Subscriber Information: IRMS software has all roaming subscriber’s information which is derived from their internal system (BSCS). User can submit subscriber’s query to other department, activate or deactivate subscription, billing for the usage, credit card change, roaming information, and high usage monitoring.
